Referencing the example Mature Cow Weight Form below, the following numbered dot points describe the information that has been pre-printed (1-3) or can be entered by the producer (4-9) on this form:

The date the mature cow weight forms were produced. The information pre-printed on these forms will reflect the information recorded with your breed society on this date.
- The sire and date of birth of the cow are pre-printed as any easy reference of the details already recorded for that animal. If any of these details are incorrect, please contact your breed society with the correct details.
- The ident for each cow is pre-printed (usually listed in tattoo order). All females recorded with your breed society as being active, in your ownership and older than two years of age will be listed.
- If the cow is no longer active in the herd, enter the relevant disposal code (see bottom of each form for a list of the relevant disposal codes for your breed society).
- Record the weigh date (or the date of disposal) in this column. If the weigh date is the same for all animals, simply enter the date for the first animal and draw an arrow down the column.
- Record the mature weight to the nearest kilogram in this column. Remember BREEDPLAN can only analyse mature cow weights that have been recorded within two weeks of the 200 day weight being recorded for their calf. See the Recording Mature Cow Weights tip sheet, available in the Help Centre on the BREEDPLAN website, for further information.
- Enter a management group code for any cow that has experienced any effects on her weight that is different to that experienced by her calf. For example, if the cow was sick/injured. If no management group information is specified here, the management groups submitted with the 200 day weights of the calves will be used to sub-group the mature weights of the cows.
- Enter the condition score for the cow in this column. This should be recorded using the 1-6 cow condition scoring system described in the Recording Cow Condition Score tip sheet (available from the Help Centre on the BREEDPLAN website).
- If hip height is measured, record the height in whole centimetres (e.g. 126) in this column.
Please contact staff at your BREEDPLAN processing centre should you require any further assistance in completing your mature cow weight recording forms.
