We are bidding farewell to Fiona Higgins, who will depart in March 2026 after three and a half years as a BREEDPLAN Consultant.

Fi joined the team in July 2022, quickly becoming a valued contributor to the delivery of  genetic evaluation services and support across the beef industry. During her time with BREEDPLAN, Fi worked closely with ABRI’s breed society clients and seedstock breeders, helping guide clients through a period of rapid evolution in beef genetics and performance recording.

Reflecting on her time in the role, Fi said:

"I feel incredibly fortunate to have spent the past three and a half years collaborating with such knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues and clients. The beef genetics industry has experienced significant growth and transformation in recent years, and I am proud to have played a small part in that progress as a member of the BREEDPLAN team.”

Fi now moves on to an exciting new opportunity within the livestock genetics sector. The BREEDPLAN team extends its sincere thanks for her contributions and wishes her every success in the next chapter of her career.

Fi’s expertise, enthusiasm and professionalism will be greatly missed, and we look forward to seeing her continue to make an impact across the livestock industry.
